More daylight, a better impression
Dirty windows cost daylight and look careless to visitors. We clean glass with deionised water, which dries without residue, and work at height with telescopic poles or a platform. Frames and rebates are part of the job.
What window and glass cleaning includes
Which glass surfaces are cleaned and how often is agreed during the site visit. Typically:
Windows
- Glass inside and outside
- Frames and rebates
- Window sills inside and outside
- Roof windows and skylights, where accessible
Glass inside the building
- Glass doors and entrance portals
- Glass partitions
- Mirrors
- Display cabinets
Other surfaces
- Shop windows
- Conservatories
- Glass canopies
- Blinds and slats by arrangement
How often windows should be cleaned
It depends on location and use. Shop windows and entrance doors on busy streets often need weekly cleaning; office windows usually two to four times a year. For glass at height we check access and safety during the site visit, which determines how the work is done. A typical example:
- Weekly or fortnightly: Shop windows, entrance doors
- Quarterly: Office and practice windows
- Twice a year: Stairwell windows in residential buildings
- One-off: after building work or a move
